PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR EVENT PARTICIPATION

01. ENTRANCE

Entrance will be allowed only after ticket presentation. The ticket is nominally based.
Be prepared for possible security checks.

02. ENTRANCE HOURS

It is advised to arrive two hours before the event start time for ticket control, security check and withdrawal of headphones for translation.

03. LANGUAGE AND TRANSLATION

His Holiness will speak in Tibetan or English.
His teachings will be directly translated into Italian.
English, German, French, Spanish and Russian translation will be transmitted by headphones. Headsets for the translation can be withdrawn from the appropriate station within the building by leaving a valid identity card as deposit.

04. SECURITY

For security reasons cameras, video cameras, recording devices, video recorders, glass bottles, sharp objects and dangerous, bulky bags or backpacks will not be allowed in the forum. Security checks will therefore take place at the entrance.

05. MOBILE PHONES


Mobile phones must be switched off during the teachings.

06. TICKETS PURCHASE

We recommend buying the entrance ticket before the event at dalailama-milano2012.org/eng/partecipate.html
If tickets are not sold out one will be able to purchase them at the Mediolanum forum ticket office the day of the event.

07. TICKET PRINTING

The ticket you bought online will be sent by email in PDF format to the address indicated during the purchase process. You are kindly invited to print it on white paper A4 format without reducing the dimensions since it contains a barcode needed for the entrance.

Tickets are only valid for the event they refer to and participants have to keep them during the whole event and to exhibit them upon request of the personnel on duty.

08. LOST TICKETS 


In case you lose your ticket you can get a copy at the ticket office on the day of the event by indicating the registration data and showing an identity document.

09. PARKING

Mediolanum Forum has an external parking area with fee. We suggest using public transportation or car pooling in order to avoid traffic jams and other inconveniences.

10. ACCESS FOR DISABLED PERSONS

The forum is accessible to disabled persons on wheelchairs.

11. CHILDREN

Admission is free for children younger than 5 if they seat on their parents’ lap and it is not necessary to fill in the registration form for them.
For children older than 5 it is necessary to buy a student ticket.

12. TEACHINGS RECORDING

Teachings will be recorded and CDs and DVDs will be available for purchase at the end of each session.
